A new campaign that urges New Yorkers to support dance as an art form! Those who know me, know I love dance (see the work with photographer Sean Williams for the Joffrey Ballet here). This would have been an excellent project to work on. Read the NYTimes article here

 Sara Mearns, a principal dancer at the New York City Ballet:  “Dance is a freedom of expression that everyone takes part in, whether it be in the shower or on a New York stage like myself. Professional dancers are the peak athletes of the world and I believe should be seen in the same league as any sports athlete you watch on the field or TV.”

The campaign launches today, comprises about 35 YouTube videos and had a meager budget of only $10,000.  You can check out the organization DanceNYC here.
